Dr. Jonas Jacobsen

Jonas has been working as a lawyer since 2020 and is a specialist lawyer for information technology law and a certified data protection officer.
His clients include national and international companies and start-ups. Jonas specialises in particular in information technology law (including e-commerce and internet law, data protection and IT security as well as IT contract law and IT project advice), copyright law and intellectual property law. In this context, Jonas also advises platforms, online shops and other digital service providers, for example on the admissibility and legal compliance of their digital business models as well as on the drafting and review of general terms and conditions, terms of use and data protection declarations and all legally required website information. Jonas also specialises in legal issues relating to artificial intelligence.
In addition to his work as a lawyer Jonas is a lecturer at the “Katholische Hochschule für Sozialwesen” (KHSB) and spokesman for the IT law working group of the Berlin Bar Association.
Jonas studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where he also completed his doctorate with a thesis on copyright law. He completed his legal clerkship at two major law firms in Berlin. Before joining clover law, Jonas worked for a boutique law firm specialising in IT/IP law for several years.
